Ingredients to avoid
  • Ingredients with possible side effects or those that may interfere with the skin's natural renewal mechanism, include steroids that should be avoided at all costs. Side effects include thinning of skin and stunted growth. They also suppress signs of skin distress and do not contain any known beneficial properties

  • Mineral oil is also out. It's a greasy petroleum derivative that has no skin benefits. It blocks pores and prevents skin from breathing.

  • Artificial perfume can cause skin irritation and is also photosensitive, causing pigmentation problems when exposed to sunlight.

  • Artificial colour can cause skin irritation, so the colour of finished products should be that of their natural ingredients.
